CIVIL TECHONOLOGY
Purpose of the Program
Department of The Construction Technology is a 2-year associate degree program taught in vocational schools of universities.
The purpose of the Construction Technology Program is to train technical intermediate staff who will work in public institutions and organizations and in the private sector, who have basic technical equipment about types of structures, who are knowledgeable in terms of occupational health and safety, who can read and implement construction projects, who can design and draw projects when necessary, who have the ability to solve problems encountered during the design or implementation phase, who can use package programs in their field, who know construction materials and their properties and can select materials according to their purpose, who can create exploration, quantity take-off and cost in an existing structure, who can provide field organization, who have acquired the necessary professional qualifications in line with scientific and technological developments and who can perform all necessary technical controls.
Mission
To train qualified technical personnel who have internalized the concepts and principles related to their subject, who have the knowledge to design the projects required to create the new systems needed by the construction sector, who can ensure that the manufacturing is done in accordance with the relevant standards and earthquake regulations and who can control them, who are entrepreneurial, prone to teamwork, open to technological developments, environmentally conscious, who are beneficial to their country and humanity, who have universal thinking ability, who have a broad horizon, who have knowledge and awareness of social responsibility, ethical values, social security rights, occupational health and safety in their field, who have mastered the quality process, and who have high verbal and written communication skills.

Department Opportunities
Upon graduation, students can transfer to four-year programs.
Career Opportunities
Graduates can work at all public organizations, municipalities, and private sector and institutions.
Those who successfully complete the associate degree program can transfer to the Civil Engineering, Architecture, Restoration and Conservation departments if they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by OSYM.
