1 | Train mathematics teachers who have gained the understanding of contemporary mathematics at both national and international standards by combining the theoretical knowledge and application skills in this area. |
2 | Train mathematics teachers be able to work in secondary schools (grades 5-8) and to gain mathematical thinking, communication and association, problem solving and reasoning skills to their students, to present examples of their use. |
3 | Educate students with conceptual, qualified, moral, self-sacrificing and idealistic teachers who have scientific perspectives on field and vocational knowledge, which enable students to implement student-oriented approaches in mathematics teaching. |
4 | Train teachers with knowledge and sensitivity who can design the solution phases of problem processes and examine solutions in terms of other disciplines and social dimensions; in addition to basic mathematical knowledge, gained pedagogical knowledge, skills and equipment that the modern educator will need in his professional life. |
5 | It is aimed to train teachers who have knowledge of the use of tools and technology in their fields, have problem solving skills, have knowledge about the nature and historical development of mathematics, know the students' developmental characteristics, plan teaching according to these characteristics and develop materials. |

Objectives |
1 | It is aimed to improve the attitude of the teacher candidates towards mathematics positively, to gain mathematical communication skills and mathematical and interdisciplinary association skills. |
2 | With the necessity of our age, it is aimed to train qualified mathematics teachers with high level skills such as scientific and analytical thinking ability, reasoning and prediction skills, critical thinking of mathematical events, mathematical and interdisciplinary association, abstract thinking, analysis and synthesis.

3 | Train teachers who have full knowledge of mathematics, who know the methods and techniques needed in mathematics teaching, have the ability to develop materials appropriate to these methods and techniques, and adapt technology, who are able to master the developments in our country and in the world in mathematics education, and that will make students love mathematics. |
