SURGERY SERVICES
Mission
The program was established to educate experienced surgical services technicians who provides all the surgical materials used in the operating room and use them during the operation, who are directly involved in all surgical teams, and assist the surgeon during surgery. Increase in the number of private hospitals and having less surgical services technicians than needed has made this profession become a more needed profession. Graduates can easily find jobs because of a need of hospitals in healthcare professionals who had special training.
The main purpose of the program is to train technicians who identify all the surgical instruments in the operating room, can be used as assistants, and can assist surgical team by preparing all the advanced technology materials used in surgery.
Tracking and recording vital signs, surgical patient safety, drup preparation and application, patient positioning and wiping techniques, aseptic washing, dressing, surgical set preparation, sterile pack opening and closing are important for students for their careers.

Graduates of the program can work as "operating room technicians" in operating rooms of public and private hospitals and healthcare organizations. The chances of finding a job upon graduation is very high due to lack of graduates from the program and the need for qualified professionals.
