VISUAL ARTS
The department of Visual Arts at the Social Sciences Institute at Istanbul Aydın University provides an advanced education in visual arts for those who hold a bachelor degree from any disciplines of fine arts. The main goal of the program is to encourage free artistic expression derived from the student’s own choices and tendencies in any art form they choose, where the creation process is handled with competent, conscious attitudes, and where artistic creation is recognized through a scope that relates to time, space and culture and which is applied in innovative solutions.
The program is a 120 ECTS credit program with a duration of 2 academic years, each with 2 semesters. The regular program consists of 7 courses of 21 local credits, a seminar and a thesis work of 60 ECTS credits with a normal duration of 2 semesters. The institute, upon the request of the program director, may require the prospective student to take additional courses if his/her background is not seen fit to follow the program.
