Aim
1To be a specialization department that has achieved national and international prestige in its field; To be an important resource that trains educational technologists and instructional designers and informatics teachers, who are well-trained in international standards in this field, where our country needs trained manpower, and who understand the fields of instructional technology and instructional design as a field of science in learning, teaching and management processes, and have expertise in every sector.
2To train instructional design and technologists related to the field of Instructional Technology Education as 21st century experts in the field of Instructional Technology Education in the field of research and application for every public and private sector, especially in education, industry and health.
3To train educational technologists and instructional designers in an expert profile who can use the principles of material development by combining instructional technologies and computer technology in a way that supports the versatile development of students in every sector.
4To present scientific and practical studies with experts trained in the service of institutions and organizations working in this field in order to benefit from the field of instructional technologies and instructional design in schools at all levels and in different sectors.
5To provide social support by integrating the developments in the social, cultural and artistic fields in our country with the field of instructional design and instructional technologies and by adapting them to information technologies, by developing projects in all fields of education, in design and software dimensions.
Objectives
1To train well-equipped teaching experts and teaching technologists in the fields of designing, developing, applying and evaluating teaching materials and teaching software suitable for the curriculum.
2To contribute to the training of the workforce that will work in schools, military and industrial organizations in the field of educational technologies and instructional design as a researcher and practitioner instructional designers.
3To train teachers and experts who respect human values, have a developed sense of social responsibility, design, question and develop projects by applying instructional design models in the process.
4To create a profile of experienced teachers and experts in the field of instructional design and in the workplace, using different learning-teaching strategies to improve the process of educational technology and instructional design models and their individual skills.
5To lead the education of educational technologists, project leaders and teachers who can follow national and international publications and practices in the field of educational technology and instructional design, use scientific research skills, think creatively, and have ethical practice values in the field of educational technology.
6To train instructional technologists and designers, who know the purpose and principles of the Basic Laws of Turkish National Education, can question what they have learned, lived through, can think critically, and have command of educational programs at every education level, in a team project approach with instructional design models for schools and different sectors.

AKTS, aynı zamanda, yükseköğretim kurumlarına, öğretim programları ve ders içeriklerinin iş yüküne bağlı olarak kolay anlaşılabilir bir yapıda tasarlanması, uygulanması, gözden geçirilmesi, iyileştirilmesi ve bu sayede yükseköğretim programlarının kalitesinin geliştirilmesine ve kalite güvencesine önemli katkı sağlayan bir sistematik yaklaşım sunmaktadır. ETIS : İstanbul Aydın University Education & Training System Istanbul Aydin University ECTS Information Package ECTS Information Package European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) which was introduced by the European Council in 1989, within the framework of Erasmus, now part of the Life Long Learning Programme, is a student-centered credit system based on the student workload required to achieve the objectives of a programme specified in terms of learning outcomes and competences to be acquired. The implementation of ECTS has, since its introduction, has been found wide acceptance in the higher education systems across the European Countries and become a credit system and an indispensable tool supporting major aims of the Bologna Process and, thus, of European Higher Education Area as it makes teaching and learning in higher education more transparent across Europe and facilitates the recognition of all studies. The system allows for the transfer of learning experiences between different institutions, greater student mobility and more flexible routes to gain degrees. It also offers a systematic approach to curriculum design as well as quality assessment and improvement and, thus, quality assurance.
