Candidates are required to have an undergraduate degree in English Language Teaching, English Translation and Interpretation, English Language Literature, American Culture and Literature, English Linguistics and pass the entrance exam. The entrance exam consists of two stages, written and oral. Candidates who get 70 points or more from the written exam phase of the entrance exam will be entitled to move on to the oral exam phase. If the candidates who have completed their undergraduate education in the field of English Language Teaching are successful in the entrance exam, the exam jury may propose a scientific preparation program for some candidates, taking into account the undergraduate program they graduated from.
Istanbul Aydın University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations will be taken as basis for student admission to the proposed program. Accordingly, the program applied for Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam (ALES) must obtain at least 55 standard points in the type of score or the equivalent score from GRE or GMAT exams accepted by the University Senate. In addition, candidate students must have obtained a minimum score of 70 in English in the last 5 years from a foreign language exam accepted as equivalent to YDS by YDS or Higher Education Institution.
The success grade of the candidates is calculated by taking 50% of the ALES score, 20% of the undergraduate average, 10% of the foreign language score and 20% of the science exam. The success ranking is made from the highest score to the lowest score. The lists of students accepted to graduate programs within the quota announced are announced by the Institute of Social Sciences.
