LOCAL GOVERMENTS AND DECENTRALIZATION
The main objectives of the Local Administrations and Decentralization Master's program are; to examine government and private sector relations, to provide intensive and comprehensive information to embed governance and democratic management models and to help in scientific studies in these areas. In addition to this, non-governmental organizations called third sector are introduced with the decentralization philosophy and types of decentralization, their functions. In addition, theoretical and practical studies are carried out within the program. The students prepare and present seminars with the case study method.
Master’s Degree Program without thesis in Local Governments and Decentralization is a 90 ECTS credit program with a duration of 1,5 academic years and with 3 30-ECTS semesters. The regular program consists of 10 courses of 30 local credits and a term Project. The institute, upon the request of the program director, may require the prospective student to take additional courses if his/her background is not seen fit to follow the program.
