SBE600-5	İLETİŞİM ÇALIŞMALARINDA İLERİ ARAŞTIRMA METODLARI ADVANCED RESEARCH METHODS IN COMMUNICATION STUDIES	Z	3	0	3.0	6.0	3	Ders kapsamında; sosyal bilimlerde bir araştırma tasarımı geliştirmek üzere araştırma soruları, yöntemler ve teorik çerçevelerin nasıl ilişkilendirileceği üzerinde durulmaktadır. Çeşitli metodolojik yaklaşımların dayandıkları epistemolojik temeller ve ampirik yöntemlerle ilgili tartışmalar dikkate alınmakta; özellikle iletişim araştırmalarında araştırmanın varsayımları, kapsamı, sınırlılıkları ve uygulanması üzerine tartışmalar yürütülmektedir.	Within the scope of the course; it will be focused on how to relate research questions, methods and theoretical frameworks to develop a research design in the social sciences. The epistemological foundations on which various methodological approaches are based and discussions about empirical methods are taken into consideration; discussions on assumptions, scope, limitations and implementation of the research, especially in communication research, are conducted.

In the content of this course, the concepts of ethics will be analysed in the context of law, individuals and proffesions; ethics in public relations along with communication ethics will be explicated with the examples.
HLK630	KÜRESELLEŞME VE HALKLA İLİŞKİLER GLOBALIZATION AND PUBLIC RELATIONS	S	3	0	3.0	6.0	3	Küresel sistem, küreselleşme ve tüketim kültürü, kitle iletişimi, kültür ve kültürün temelleri, kültürlerarası diyalog, iletişim ve kurumsal iletişim, kurumsal iletişimin kültürel boyutu, küreselleşmenin halkla ilişkilere yansımaları, halkla ilişkilere eleştirel yaklaşımlar dersin içeriğini oluşturmaktadır. Ayrıca ileri düzeyde araştırmaların incelenmesi ve gerçekleştirilmesi amacıyla dönem projeleri hazırlanmaktadır.	The content of the course consists of the global system, globalization and consumption culture, mass communication, the foundations of culture and culture, intercultural dialogue, communication and corporate communication, the cultural dimension of corporate communication, the reflections of globalization on public relations, critical approaches to public relations. In addition, term projects are prepared for the purpose of examining and carrying out advanced research.

SBE600-1	TEZ THESIS	Z	0	0	0.0	30.0	0	Tez çalışması aşağıdaki maddeleri içeren öğrenme sürecidir: (1) ilgilenilen konunun tanımlanması ve konuya alışma şeklinde nitelenebilecek inceleme aşaması, data toplama ve işleme ve tez konusunun haklı çıkarılması. Bu süreç, amacı, sınırlılıkları tanımlamayı, çözülecek problem(ler)i ya da elde edilmesi beklenen gelişme(ler)i içerir. (2) öğrencinin toplanan bilginin neyi gösterdiğini ve tezin genel amaçları doğrultusunda bu bilginin neyle ilgili olduğunu dikkate aldığı planlama aşaması. Bu aşama, yapılan literatür taraması sonucunda tez konusuyla ilgili olduğu görülen teorik çerçevenin sunumunu, data toplama ve teoriyi tezin konusuyla bağlantılı hale getirmeye yönelik prosedürleri ve tezin düzgün gelişmesi ve uygulanması için kullanılacak yöntem ve teknikleri içerir. (3) tezi geliştirme işlemlerinin plan ve gelişme süreçlerinin değerlendirilip gözetilmesinin de dikkate alınarak sürdürüldüğü uygulama aşaması, (4) düşünme ve sonuç çıkarmayı içeren değerlendirme aşaması, (5) tezin yazıldığı, düzeltildiği, sunulduğu ve savunulduğu yayın aşaması	Contents of the Course Unit Thesis work is a learning process which comprises (1) the analysing phase, characterised by defining a topic of interest for the thesis and familiarisation with it, data collection and processing, and justification of the subject of thesis. This includes objectives, delimitations to be defined, identification of the problem(s) to be solved or development(s) to be achieved; (2) the planning phase, during which the student considers what the information gathered on the subject signifies and is relevant in terms of the objective of the thesis. This includes presentation of the theoretical framework in relation the thesis title based on the results of literature survey, data collection and relate the theory to the topic of thesis and defining the procedures, methods and techniques to be used for proper development and implementation of the thesis work, (3) the implementation phase, where the development tasks are carried out in accordance with the plan and the development process is evaluated and monitored; (4) the evaluation phase, involving deliberation and the drawing of conclusions; and (5) the publication phase, in which the thesis is written, edited, delivered, presented and defended.
