Educating Electrical-Electronic engineers needed in the Electrical, Electronics and Communications sector; With an education and research program that can produce solutions to current, scientific and technological problems, our students graduate as expert engineers who can develop creative solutions to multi-faceted technical and human problems that they may encounter in their professional lives, as well as conduct universal scientific research in the fields of Electricity, Electronics and Communication.
PhD Degree Program in Electrical-Electronics Engineering is a 300 ECTS credits program with a duration of 5 academic years composed of 10 consecutive 30-ECTS semesters. The regular program consists of 15 courses of 45 local credits and a thesis. The course work has 120 ECTS credits and the rest of 180 ECTS is related to the thesis. After successfully completing all coursework, students are required to attend the qualifying examination. The qualifying examination tests the student’s knowledge of materials covered in his/her coursework. Students who pass the qualifying examination start work on their doctoral thesis. Students from other fields will have to take some additional preparatory courses. The PhD degree is given to the students who successfully complete all the requirements of the program.
